Turkey’s confirmed cases of coronavirus increased by 3,783 to reach 82,329 in the last 24 hours, and 121 more people have died, bringing the death toll to 1,890, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Saturday.

The total number of people who have recovered stands at 10,453, and 40,520 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours, according to a chart Koca posted on Twitter.

“The number of patients who have recovered has exceeded 10,000. We have important advantages in the treatment [processes]. Despite the increasing number of tests conducted, there is a fall in the number of new cases. We have two kinds of forces: taking measures and treatment. Let’s use our forces,” tweeted Koca.

The chart showed that a total of 598,933 tests have been conducted in Turkey since the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in the country on March 11.

First seen in the Chinese city of Wuhan, COVID-19 has spread rapidly around the world, infecting over 2,306,588 people worldwide and killing more than 158,063. Some 588,000 people have recovered, according to Worldometers.info.
