The Kosovo police announced on Tuesday the detention of two Turkish nationals who are wanted on INTERPOL Red Notices, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
The suspects were detained in separate operations in two cities carried out by the FAST-Kosovo Fugitives Active Search Unit.

One of the suspects, identified only by the initials M.K. and 60 years old, was detained in the eastern Kosovar town of Viti. He had been convicted in Turkey of drug trafficking and sentenced to 22 years, six months in prison.
The other detainee, identified only as I.K. and age 41, was detained in the capital city of Pristina. He had been convicted of robbery in Turkey and given a prison sentence of 10 months.
Both of the detainees are expected to be extradited to Turkey following the expiration of the 48-hour-long detention period, according to a statement from the Kosovo police.
