Turkey registered 1,396 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the total number to 194,511, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
Nineteen more people have died from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, with the death toll reaching 5,065, the chart indicated.
The number of intensive care patients is still on the rise, increasing from 941 to 963 on Friday. The figure has been on an upward trend since June 10, when it was 631.
“There were 113 new hospitalizations across Turkey due to COVID-19,” Koca tweeted.
The ministry data also showed that 167,198 people have recovered from the virus, and more than 3,186 million tests have been conducted since mid-March.
