Turkey’s coronavirus cases increased by 948 to 158,762 on Tuesday, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
The death toll from the virus has reached 4,397, the chart indicated.
Turkey has started to test fewer people since last week. On Tuesday, it received results of nearly 20,000 tests.
A total of 121,507 people are recorded as having recovered from the illness, according to the chart.
Of the active cases 739 are in intensive care units across Turkey, of whom 338 are on ventilators.
Turkey confirmed its first coronavirus case on March 11.
