A Mardin court on Sunday ruled for the arrest of Iranian-Kurdish writer Jiyar Cihanferd and his friend Hassan Balada on charges of “membership in a terrorist organization.”
According to the Diken news portal, Cihanferd and Balada, who have been kept under police custody for the past 22 days, were sent to Mardin Prison on charges of membership in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). (Turkey Purge)
