Turkish police raids pro-Kurdish HDP, DBP offices in Diyarbakır

Counterterror teams of Diyarbakır Police Department raided provincial and district branch offices of pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) in Diyarbakır on Wednesday.

According to pro-Kurdish Dicle News Agency (DİHA), police blocked roads to HDP and BDP in Bağlar district with armoured police vehicles.

While HDP Diyarbakır deputy Feleknaz Uca and few branch officials of HDP and DBP were let to attend police searches in the offices, security forces stopped public who gathered in front the raided offices. Police officers did not share any information about the reason for the raids.

Police had also detained number of politicians from HDP and BDP in Diyarbakır on Tuesday.
