PM Yıldırım says PKK sends messages calling for negotiations

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said on Wednesday that they have been receiving “direct and indirect” messages from the terrorist organization, Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), that they are ready to negotiate and could lay down their arms.

Speaking to party members at the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) headquarters, Yıldırım also said that they have nothing to talk with a terrorist organization. Commenting on the recent bomb attacks in İstanbul and Mardin, Yıldırım said that the fight against terrorism would continue until life safety of all Turkish citizens is guaranteed.

A car bomb attack hit central İstanbul on Tuesday and claimed the lives of 11 people, six of whom are police officers. There were no claim of responsibility for the attack, however PKK have staged similar attack in Turkey before.

Another car bomb attack also rocked Midyat district of Mardin on Wednesday. The attack on a police station killed two police officers and three civilians.
