Twenty people, including five soldiers, have been arrested as part of an investigation into a car bomb attack in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri that killed 14 soldiers in December on charges of providing intelligence to a terrorist organization.
The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), an offshoot of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), claimed responsibility for the car bomb attack on Dec.17.
The attack targeted a bus carrying off-duty soldiers and civilians in Kayseri. More than 50 people were also injured in the explosion.
The blast occurred just as the bus drove past a car carrying explosives at an entrance to Erciyes University.
TAK also claimed responsibility for twin bombings in İstanbul on Dec. 10 that killed 45 people and injured 166.
