Speaking recently at the United Nations, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem urged Turkey to withdraw from its territory, in reference to Operation Euphrates Shield in which Turkey is hitting Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets.

According to Muallem, Turkey’s military campaign in northern Syria is a violation of Syria’s territorial integrity. Russian news web site Sputnik reported on Muallem’s call to Turkey as he also claimed that his country would abide by all requirements of the peace talks.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, in the 32nd day of Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkish Armed Forces made a statement saying that 38 ISIL targets had been hit 101 times that day.
