A man was briefly detained as part of an investigation into a recent physical attack targeting Supreme Court of Appeals Public Prosecutor Necip Cem İşçimen in İstanbul, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.
The İstanbul Police Department determined that İşçimen got into an argument with two suspects identified only by the initials E.G. and T.T.İ. while exiting a restaurant parking lot in the Kadıköy district on Sunday. The prosecutor was then physically assaulted by the two individuals.
