A Turkish court ruled to arrest one of two suspects who were detained for alleged involvement in the death of Hamza Ajan, a 17-year-old Syrian refugee who was beaten up by four people and subsequently died at a hospital, the Kronos news website reported on Friday.
The incident reportedly took place in a marketplace in Bursa after Ajan, a stallholder, tried to defend a Syrian refugee woman who was being insulted by a group of other sellers, who then assaulted the young man.
Soon afterwards, Ajan collapsed to the ground and was hospitalized. He succumbed to his injuries around midnight, reports said.
Turkey hosts nearly 4 million migrants, mainly from Syria.
