Turkey saw 4,281 more confirmed coronavirus cases on Wednesday, while the death toll increased by 115 to 1,518, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
In the last 24 hours, 34,090 test results came in, and the overall number of cases totaled 69,392, the chart indicated.
A total of 1,820 people are in critical care, with 1,052 of them on ventilators.
As of Wednesday, Turkey had the fourth highest number of daily increases of cases worldwide following the US, France and the UK.
However, Koca told a press conference on Tuesday that Turkey had gotten the viral outbreak under control. Globally more than 2 million people around the world have contracted the virus, and some 130,000 have died since early January.
