Turkish forces stationed at Al-Yashli base on Thursday evening shelled concentrations of Syrian government forces in the village of Arab Hassan, northwest of Manbij city, injuring two high-ranking regime officers, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
SOHR monitored heavy artillery shelling on March 30 by Turkish-backed factions targeting Arab Hassan, killing a little girl and seriously injuring her father.
Manbij is a key town located to the west of the Euphrates River around which Turkish forces and the Syrian army have been frequently clashing, particularly after a land operation by Turkish forces last October to remove Kurdish militants from the area.
