Radio host Yavuz Oğhan’s program was canceled by Radyo Sputnik a few days after he interviewed former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on YouTube.
Oğhan announced the development on Twitter. “No good deed goes unpunished in Turkey. We interviewed Davutoğlu yesterday, our program was canceled today, despite the fact that we did it on our private YouTube channel,” he said.
Oğhan interviewed Davutoğlu on Thursday, along with his co-hosts, journalists Akif Beki and İsmail Saymaz.
During the interview the former prime minister maintained his critical stance towards the government and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, reaffirming his intention to establish a new political party to take on Erdoğan’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
