Turkish prosecutors have issued detention warrants for 74 people, 32 of whom are military officers, due to their alleged links to the Gülen movement, which is designated as a terrorist organization by the Turkish government, Turkish media reported on Tuesday.
Six colonels, two lieutenant colonels and three majors are among the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) members facing detention.
Turkey has detained, arrested or convicted thousands of active duty and dismissed military officers as well as military school cadets on charges of involvement in a failed coup on July 15, 2016 without due process or concrete evidence since the abortive putsch.
The Turkish government accuses the Gülen movement, inspired by the views of US-based Islamic cleric Fethullah Gülen, of masterminding the coup attempt, although the movement strongly denies any involvement.
