The publishing house of famous American actress Sarah Jessica Parker is publishing a collection of short stories by jailed Kurdish politician Selahattin Demirtaş for distribution in the US.
The book is due for release on April 23, 2019, according to Amazon.
Parker, who owns the SJP for Hogarth publishing house, was spotted in New York on Thursday with the book, titled “Dawn” (Seher in Turkish).
Vogue magazine said her latest look proved that “… sometimes, being cultured is even better than owning the latest It bag.”
Demirtaş, who has been in jail since November 2016, wrote the book while in a high-security prison in the Turkish province of Edirne, where he is still being held. One of Turkey’s most popular politicians, Demirtaş ran unsuccessfully for president of Turkey in 2014 and again in 2018, conducting his campaign from behind bars.
The photo went viral in the Turkish social media sphere on Friday.
