Airporthaber, a Turkish website publishing news on the aviation sector in Turkey, was blocked after it posted a story on Monday about the establishment of a special cabin crew for executives of Turkey’s leading aviation company, Turkish Airlines (THY).
According to airporthaber’s story, the special cabin crew has been installed to serve THY executives during their flights so they can be given quality service. The team’s members were selected from among the most experienced flight attendants and were given special training about THY executives’ habits during flights.
The website said the establishment of a special cabin crew for THY executives was prompted by an incident during a flight in which a THY executive, whose name was not revealed, reportedly wanted Turkish coffee. When the executive was asked by a flight attendant how he or she would take their coffee, meaning with sugar or without, the executive got angry and said, “Don’t you know how I take my coffee?”
