Turkey on Friday strongly condemned an Israeli decision to build 2,000 additional units in its settlements in the West Bank, including in East Jerusalem.
“We strongly condemn the irresponsible approval by the Israeli authorities to build 2,000 additional units in its illegal settlements in the West Bank, including in East Jerusalem, which are under Israeli occupation, and the relentless decisions to demolish the houses of Palestinian Bedouins that are located around East Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a written statement posted on its website.
“We resolutely reject these steps, which disregard international law.”
