3 soldiers killed in PKK attack in Şırnak

Three soldiers were killed and one was injured in a clash with terrorists from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Şırnak on Monday, Turkish media reports said.

The clash took place in the Bestler Dereler area when the PKK terrorists opened fire on the soldiers.

Turkish security forces have launched an operation in the area to capture the terrorists.

The PKK, which has been waging a bloody war in Turkey’s Southeast since 1984, is listed as a terrorist organization not only by Turkey but also by the US and the EU.
