The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has said on Saturday that a total of 43 militants of outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were killed in clashes with Turkish soldiers in past week.
In a statement from its website, TSK said 43 PKK terrorists were “neutralized” in anti-terror operations in Şırnak, Diyarbakır and Hakkari provinces between Aug. 17 to 24.
The army also said that two soldiers were killed and another nine were wounded by PKK attacks in the same time period.
According to the statement, a total of 27 weapons, including rifles, rocket launchers and pistols, 280 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 34 hand grenades, ammunition, as well as many other items used by terrorists were seized in the operations.
