Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) Chairman Metin Feyzioğlu has denied claims suggesting that he would take part in a new party that will reportedly be established by Meral Akşener, a former Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) deputy.
A report in the Sözcü daily claimed on Wednesday that Feyzioğlu and Akşener reached an agreement to work together for the new party.
However, Feyzioğlu denied the assertion in a written statement on Thursday and said he would continue serving as chair of the TBB.
Akşener was expelled from the MHP in September 2016 by unanimous vote.
