The unemployment rate in Turkey rose to 11.8 percent in October 2016, the highest figure since March 2010, according to data released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) on Monday.
The number of jobless people aged 15 and above in October, 2016 increased by 500,000, and the total number of unemployed people in the country has reached 3.64 million.
In October 2015, Turkey’s unemployment rate was 10.5 percent, while it was 11.3 percent in September 2016.
