Eighteen Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants were killed and 37 others were wounded in clashes and artillery fire on Monday, the Turkish military said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Turkish army also said its warplanes had destroyed four ISIL targets and that Russian aircraft hit terrorists in Dayr Kak, eight kilometers southwest of the ISIL-controlled town of al-Bab.
ISIL claimed responsibility for an attack that killed at least 39 people and wounded 69 others at an İstanbul nightclub in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
