Turkey’s military said on Monday that its warplanes struck 15 targets in the al Bab area of northern Syria on Sunday in an operation with Free Syrian Army fighters to drive Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants out of the region.
Among the 15 targets were 10 ISIL defensive positions, command centers and an ammunition store, and all of them were destroyed in the strikes, the army said in a statement. Nine Syrian rebels were killed during clashes in the region.
