ISIS member captured while crossing into Turkey through Syrian border

A member of the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was captured on Thursday in the southeastern province of Hatay by security forces while he was attempting to enter Turkey through the Syrian border.

Soldiers patrolling near the Cilvegözü border gate in the Turkish district of Reyhanlı spotted an individual trying to cross into Turkey. The suspect reportedly started to run off after disregarding a warning by the soldiers, who told him to stop.

The person was then injured in the fire opened by the soldiers. It was reported by news agencies that the man has been identified as K.H., an ISIS member, and was being interrogated at a gendarmerie post at the time of the posting of this report.
