8 arrested, 7 detained as part of anti-terror operations across Turkey

Eight arrested and seven more detained as part of anti-terror operations carried out across Turkey on Friday.

Six out of 8 people, who were detained as part of an anti-terror operation targeting the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists in Elazığ province, were arrested by a local court on Friday.

Six were arrested on charges of “membership in a terrorists organization” and “making propaganda of a terrorist organization,” while two detainees were released and placed under judicial supervision.

Two out of 15 detainees were also arrested as part of an operation against the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) — an affiliate of the terrorist PKK – in Kütahya province on Friday.

Seven suspected members of the terrorist Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed wing YPG (People’s Defense Units) in Syria were also detained in Antalya.

Detainees identified by initials S.N., M.M., G.A., S.A., S.A., Z.H.İ. and A.K.N were sent to court after undergoing medical check in the Kumluca State Hospital.
