Turkey’s unemployment rate fell to 9.4 percent in July, down by 0.2 percentage points from June, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on Monday, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The number of unemployed people, aged 15 or older, fell by 38,000 to 3,291,000 in July on a monthly basis, according to TurkStat data.
The unemployment rate was 7.6 percent for men and 12.9 percent for women.
The employment rate stood at 48.4 percent in June, up by 0.6 percentage points month-on-month.
While the employment rate among men was 65.7 percent in July, it was 31.5 percent among women.
