Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will make an official visit to Iran on Sunday, at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, state broadcaster TRT reported, citing the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The talks in Tehran between Fidan and his counterpart are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including regional stability, security and current geopolitical developments.

Meanwhile, Fidan continued his talks in Moscow on Friday during a working visit to Russia.

He met behind closed doors with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced on the social media platform X, without providing further details.

On Thursday, Fidan met with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues, particularly the Black Sea Grain Agreement.

Fidan’s visit to Russia came ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Russian coastal city of Sochi.
