Turkey’s coronavirus cases increased by 961 to reach 153,548 on Thursday, while the death toll now stands at 4,249, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
“Despite the increasing number of tests, the number of cases has grown within the expected margin,” Koca said.
The daily test numbers have decreased to some 20,000 in the last 10-day period.
There are 820 coronavirus patients in intensive units across Turkey, the chart indicated.
A total of 114,990 people have so far been officially declared to have recovered.
The Turkish health ministry has not disclosed number of cases by province, except in one instance.
