The number of coronavirus cases in Turkey increased by 1,708 on Friday, slightly more than in previous days, as the death toll reached 4,055, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.

The total number of cases hit 146,457, while more than 106,000 people recovered, the chart indicated.

Turkey has conducted 1,547,389 tests since mid-March, when the first case of COVID-19 was announced.

According to the chart, 944 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care, with 490 of them on ventilators.

The government has partially eased measures earlier this week but announced four-day curfew starting tomorrow.
