Fenerbahçe footballer Max Kruse revealed in a recent interview that he was the unnamed player with the team who had tested positive for COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus, according to the Turkish media.
Fenerbahçe on Wednesday announced that a football player and a medical specialist were infected with the virus.
“I hope that things will normalize as soon as possible and that the spread of the virus can be contained. Personally, I am not afraid, but of course one has to worry more about elderly people or people with previous illnesses. Of course I am concerned about my parents,” he said in the interview.
Kruse, 32, was a German national player who joined İstanbul’s Fenerbahçe football team last summer.
