Turkey is making plans to open three Turkish schools in Germany as part of a cooperation on education between the two countries, the pro-government Daily Sabah reported.
“There are three German schools in Turkey. Now we are taking steps to open three Turkish schools in Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne,” said Turkish Ambassador to Germany Ali Kemal Aydın.
Speaking to journalists, Aydın said five meetings with German authorities have taken place thus far.
“We hope the final agreement will be concluded in the coming months,” Aydın said.
Stating that Turkey is in favor of diplomatic ties with Germany based on constructive dialogue, Aydın reiterated Ankara’s expectations in the fight against terrorism.
