An agreement valued at 94.6 million euros has been signed between the BMC automotive company, owned by a pro-government Turkish businessman, and Turkish electronics defense contractor Aselsan, Turkish media reports said on Monday.

BMC is owned by Ethem Sancak, known to be an ardent supporter of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Justice and Development Party (AKP).

According to a statement from Aselsan, the agreement with BMC has been signed for the procurement of SARP remotely deployed weapons systems for the Turkish Land Forces Command, Gendarmerie General Command and the Coast Guard Security Command.

The delivery of the weapons systems will be made between 2018 and 2021, according to Aselsan.

In a bid to express his love for Erdoğan, Sancak once said he would sacrifice his parents, wife and children for Erdoğan.
