The İYİ (Good) Party said their campaign booths were attacked by a group of people from the First Vote Movement Platform on Friday evening in Bursa, making it the third attack on the party’s campaign for elections to be held June 24, the Diken news website reported.

Six people were hospitalized after a fight between İYİ Party and platform members. According to Sendika.org, the attackers were throwing stones, sticks and chairs.

İYİ Party campaign booths were previously attacked in the Üsküdar and Bağcılar districts of İstanbul by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) members.

On May 27, MHP supporters also attacked Felicity Party (SP) members in Ankara, seriously injuring an SP parliamentary candidate.

The İYİ Party’s Bursa branch released a statement blaming police for failing to prevent such attacks.

The First Vote Movement Platform was established in May and calls on young citizens to vote responsibly in the elections. However, the platform’s members are close to the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), which is attempting to attract young voters’ attention.
