An airstrike was conducted by Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) over the Metina region in northern Iraq targeting the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Sunday.
The attack was carried out at around 11:00 p.m. and 12:12 a.m. in response to a recently obtained intelligence concerning a specific PKK target.
The TSK staged a series of airstrikes in the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari at around the same time. According to reports, a total of seven PKK targets were destroyed in the Çukurca rural areas. The war jets later safely returned to their bases.
