3 died, 2 injured in traffic accidents across Turkey

Three people died and two more were injured as a result of traffic accidents that took place in Mersin and Balıkesir provinces late on Sunday.

Two people died as a car driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and tumble down a hillside in the Tarsus district of the southern province of Mersin. 25-year-old Syrian Ahmet Haji Süliman – the driver – and 30-year-old Reham Younis Abdelrahman Darwish lost their lives in the accident.

Police and gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident while bodies of Süliman and Darwish were sent to Tarsus State Hospital morgue.

Another accident in the Manyas district of the northwestern Balıkesir province left one dead and two more injured, when the car tumble down a hillside after the driver lost control of it due to slippery  road.

Samet Duran, driver of the vehicle, lost his life on the scene of the accident that took place around 10 p.m. on Sunday, while two others – 36-year-old Selçuk Kurt and 21-year-old İsmail Aydın – were injured.

The injured were sent to Bandırma State Hospital for treatment, while an investigation was launched into the accident.
